Michel NSHIMIYIMANA

NSHIMIYIMANA Michel is a Rwandan male born in 1975. He holds a bachelor's degree in law from Kigali Independent University (ULK) in 2004. He obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice in 2010. Prior to being promoted to the position of chief Prosecutor in 2013, he has served as Prosecutor at intermediate Level, from 2004 to September 2013, prosecutor in Economic and Financial Crimes Unit from 2006 to 2013, Team Leader of the Unit from 2008 to 2009 and from January 2013 to September 2013, Vice Chairman of NPPA Tender Committee from November 2012 to November 2013. From January 2014 to November 2014, he served as National Prosecutor Governed by a contract of employment where he pleads cases before the High Court. Since May 2008 to February 2012, NSHIMIYIMANA Michel has benefited different trainings and workshops : Investigating and prosecuting transnational crimes with reference to anti money laundering/counter-financing of terrorism and corruption, the role of the judiciary in the protection and enforcement of intellectual property in East Africa, Creation, management, bankruptcy and liquidation of financial institutions; differentiating banks from micro finance institutions, tax law and procedures, financial audit, Accounting, ….
