The National Public Prosecution Authority (NPPA), in partnership with the European Union, is hosting a two-day training in Kigali from December 01-02, 2025 aimed at enhancing the technical capacity of investigators and prosecutors in handling complex international crime cases. The training brings together 30 participants.
During the training, participants will share experiences and encourage collaboration between the International Crimes Department (ICD) and the IRMCT-OTP to bring genocidaires to justice, review how to build the strongest possible case for historical crimes during investigations and present it effectively in court, and identify ways to benefit from work conducted in previous cases.
In his opening remarks, the Deputy Prosecutor General, Bonaventure RUBERWA, emphasized the importance of reinforcing investigative capacity and deepening international cooperation to effectively pursue justice. He encouraged participants to actively engage.
