The National Public Prosecution Authority (NPPA), in partnership with the European Union, is hosting a three-day workshop in Kigali from March 24-26, 2025, focused on enhancing skills in Mutual Legal Assistance (MLA) Requests.

The workshop aims to equip investigators and prosecutors with practical skills and legal knowledge needed to effectively draft MLA requests. It focuses on understanding MLA principles, improving request drafting for different legal systems, and enhancing collaboration between justice sector professionals. The workshop also emphasizes updated MLA draft protocols introduced by NPPA in 2023 to meet international standards. 

A total of 40 participants are attending, including 24 prosecutors and 16 investigators.
