On January 17, 2025, the Prosecutor General, together with the Deputy Prosecutor General, visited the Public Prosecution at the Intermediate Level of Huye. 

This visit followed similar visits to the Public Prosecution at the Intermediate Level of Gasabo, Nyarugenge, Muhanga, and Ngoma.

During this visit, various topics were discussed, including reviewing the status of case file preparations within the Huye jurisdiction by prosecutors and prosecution assistants, strengthening collaboration among justice sector institutions, examining key priorities under the second phase of the National Strategy for Transformation (NST2), and deliberating on the new criminal policy and its guiding principles.

Additionally, other justice sector institutions in the Southern Province, including RIB, the Intermediate Court, and the Police, were invited to participate in this visit.

In her remarks, the Prosecutor General reminded justice sector staff to prioritize the needs of citizens and ensure timely delivery of justice. She commended the prosecutors and prosecution assistants of the Public Prosecution at the Intermediate Level of Huye for their excellent performance over the past year and urged them to continue focusing on their responsibilities with dedication and commitment to delivering justice.
