Gaspard RUDATINYA

RUDATINYA N. Gaspard born on 25th NOVEMBER 1965. He has a bachelor degree in law, and a diploma in law practice in ILPD. He was a prosecutor since March 2001.From Dec 2008, was a chief prosecutor. Since March 2016 to date is a national prosecutor.

Gallican RUKAKA

Gallican RUKAKA, Rwandese was born on 25/12/1967 at Muhanga Disrticrt, Southrn Province, Republic of Rwanda. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Law obtained from the National University of Rwanda, has also a Legal Practice Diploma from Institute of Legal Practice and Development/ NYANZA. He is now a National Prosecutor at the National Public Prosecution Authority.

Vincent NIYONZIMA

Niyonzima Vincent is a national prosecutor since 2015. He previously served as a prosecutor at the intermediate level from 2004 to 2007 and the chief prosecutor (head of the prosecution at the intermediate level) from 2007 to 2015 when he was promoted to the position of national prosecutor. He is a holder of a Bachelor’s degree in Law and a diploma in Legal Practice. He attended various trainings at national and international level. He is a visiting lecturer at the rwandan institute of legal practice and management. He prosecutes cases before High Court and the Supreme Court.

Come HARINDINTWARI

HARINDINTWARI Côme is a Rwandan born in 1973 . He obtained his Master’s degree in 2011 from Université de Nantes ( France) in International Law of Humana rights. The Bachelor’s degree was obtained from the National University of Rwanda in 2004. Currently, he is a National Prosecutor at the National Public Prosecution Authority since 2013. He previously served as Chief Prosecutor at Intermediate Level (2013). He has headed Economic and financial crimes Unit as Team Leader at the National Public Prosecution Authority ( 2011-2013) when he was serving as Prosecutor at Intermediate level since 2004. Member of the Team in charge of completing the Detailed Assessment questionnaire on Rwanda’s compliance with Financial taskforce recommendations on anti-money laundering and combating financing terrorism. He served as Executive Secretary of the Sector in Gicumbi District (2006-2008). HARINDINTWARI Côme participated in various trainings and workshops at National and International level in terms of capacity building: Itorero ry’igihugu (2008, 2016). Workshop on Cooperative society in social and economic development, Nairobi, Kenya. Regional workshop on Anti money laundering-combating corruption, Arusha, Tanzania. Emerging Payment System, Technical Capacity Building, Nairobi, Kenya. Training on Domestic investigation & Prosecution of international and cross-border crimes, Netherland-Rwanda. Training on Investigation and Prosecution of Trafficking in Persons Cases, Kigali/ Rwanda. HARINDINTWARI Côme currently completed studies of a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Institute of Legal Practice and Development (ILPD).

Françoise NIYONKURU

Françoise NIYONKURU is a Rwandan woman who was born on 17th December 1973 and she obtained her Master’s Degree in 2014 in Public International Law from the Kigali Independent University (ULK). Her Bachelor’s Degree in law was obtained from the National University of Rwanda in 2000. She holds a Diploma in Legal Practice from the Institute of Legal Practice and Development (ILPD) of Nyanza in 2016. She has attended several professional trainings and Seminars since 2000 onwards, in various fields of Domestic as well as of International Law. She has 13 years of experience in Prosecution and 4 years in administration: From 17th April 2012 to date: National Prosecutor at the National Public Prosecution Authority; from 18th August 2004 to 17th April 2012: Inspector at National Public Prosecution Authority; from January 2004 to 4th August 2004: Head of Division for Administration of prosecution, also as interim head in charge of budget officer; from September 2002 to October 2003: Acting Director of Administration and Justice at Ministry of Justice; from September 2000 to March 2004: Chief of Division for administration of prosecution at the Ministry of Justice.

Jean Damascène HABINEZA

Jean Damascene HABINEZA holds a Master’s Degree in Business Law, received in 2010, from the National University of Rwanda. He also Holds a Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) from the “Ecole Nationale de la Magistrature”(Departement International) in Paris-FRANCE, received in 2002. He previously served as Legal Advisor at Norwegian People’s Aid (NPA), 1999-2000; Assistant Attorney General of the Court of Appeal (2000-2004) and Chief Prosecutor at Intermediate Level (2004-2006). He participated in various training sessions and workshops inside the country.

Jean Marie Uwizeye

Jean Marie Uwizeye holds a Master’s Degree in Administration Law, received in 1997, from university of Lodz (Poland) . He holds a Diploma in Legal Practice from the Institute of Legal Practice and Development (ILPD) of Nyanza in 2016. He served Assistant Attorney General of the Court of Appeal Kigali in 2000 and Chief Prosecutor at Intermediate Level (2000-2007). He participated in workshop on the functioning of the ICTR in September 2003 Arusha (Tanzania) . He also participated in various training sessions and workshops from April-May 2012 concerning maritime law in Nigbo (CHINA). From 2007 to date ,He is now a National Prosecutor at the National Public Prosecution Authority.

Beatrice NTAWAGUNDI

Beatrice NTAWAGUNDI is a Rwandan Lady, Prosecutor at National Public Prosecutor Authority (NPPA). Since August 1995, she started working as a Judicial Police Inspector and gradually been Prosecutor at Primary Level , Prosecutor at Intermediate Level , Chief Prosecutor at Intermediate Level , and currently National Prosecutor where she pleads cases before the High Court and Supreme Court. Beatrice has a Master’s Degree from Kigali Independent University obtained in 2014 in Public International Law. Her dissertation awarding the Degree is entitled ‘’ The challenges of granting basic rights to Congolese refugees in camps of Rwanda the case of KIZIBA Camp.

Faustin NKUSI

Mr. NKUSI Faustin has had a notable career as a Public Prosecutor in Rwanda since September 2000, holding a Master of Laws in International Criminal Justice and Human Rights, a Bachelor's degree in Law, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice. He progressed through various roles in prosecution from 2000 to 2006 and became Chief Prosecutor in multiple jurisdictions from 2006 to 2009. In 2009, he was appointed National Prosecutor, representing the Prosecution at the High Court, Appeal Court, and Supreme Court. Since 2013, he has focused on international and cross-border crimes in the International Crimes Department, successfully prosecuting cases transferred from the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda and extradited from abroad. Mr. NKUSI Faustin is well-trained in international crimes, economic crimes, terrorism, and human trafficking, among others, enhancing his effectiveness in law enforcement. Beyond his prosecutorial duties, he lectures at the Institute of Legal Practice and Development, and acts as the Focal Point for the Asset Recovery Inter-Agency Network in Eastern Africa. Since 2013, he has also been the spokesperson for the National Public Prosecution Authority.

Grace BUNYOYE

Grace BUNYOYE is a Rwandan woman born in 1973 and she obtained her Master’s degree in 2014 from Kigali Independent University with specialization in Public International Law. Her Bachelor’s degree was obtained from the National University of Rwanda in 1999. Currently, she is a National Prosecutor at the National Public Prosecution Authority where she pleads cases before the High Court and Supreme Court of Rwanda. She previously served as an Assistant Attorney General of the Court of Appeal (2000-2004) and Chief Prosecutor at Intermediate Level (2004-2006). She also headed Gender based Violence Unit at the National Public Prosecution Authority (2007-2009), represented chief prosecutors at the High Council of Prosecution (2005-May 2007) and served as vice chairman, board of directors at the Institute of Legal Practice and development. She participated in various training sessions and workshops abroad, (4th Asian and Pacific Regional Conference on Cyber Crimes in Sept.2007 and 2nd Gender Justice in Africa Colloquium in 2008) and many others inside the country. Aside of the above, Grace’s passionate is about believing that, only the rule of Law creates a stable foundation for a functioning country.

Lydia UWANZIGA

Lydia UWANZIGA is one of the Rwandan senior prosecutors who have served the prosecution for more than twelve years. She is currently a National Prosecutor based at the National Public Prosecution authority head Office. She pleads cases before the high court and Supreme Court of Rwanda. Prior to her appointment as a National Prosecutor in 2015, she served the NPPA in different capacities, as chief prosecutor at intermediate prosecution services (from 2013-2014), Prosecutor at intermediate level (from 2007-2012) as well as a Prosecutor at primary level (from 2004-2006). From January to December 2012, Lydia acted as the coordinator of Gender based violence cases and cases involving minors. She worked at one of the Units of the NPPA that is charge of tracking Genocide fugitives and was in charge of drafting indictments and international arrest warrants. She holds a Masters of Laws (LLM) in international criminal justice and law of human rights as well as bachelor’s degree in law obtained from the National University of Rwanda in 2005. In addition, she holds a post graduate diploma in legal practice obtained from the institute of Legal Practice and development (I.L.P.D).  She has attended national and international trainings mostly on criminal matters that has strengthened her skills as a prosecutor.

John Bosco SIBOYINTORE

John Bosco SIBOYINTORE is a National Prosecutor & Head of Genocide Fugitives Tracking Unit (GFTU) and a part time trainer at the Institute of Legal Practice and Development (ILPD). He holds a Master’s Degree (LLM) in Public International Law obtained from Kigali Independent University (ULK) in 2014; Holder of a Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) obtained from University of Lay Adventists of Kigali in 2007, where he completed with first class degree that won various awards for his excellence performance; Holder of Diploma in Legal Practice (DLP) from the Institute of Legal Practice and Development (ILPD) obtained in 2017. John Bosco SIBOYINTORE worked as a Criminal Investigator from 1997 to 1998. He was elevated to the post of the Public Prosecutor from April 1999 to 2003 where he was based in the specialized department dealing with genocide cases where he prosecuted hundreds of genocide cases;In 2004 after the judicial reform, he was retained as a Prosecutor and posted to head the Prosecution Primary level at Kicukiro District in Kigali City, a position he held until 2006;From 2006 to 2010 he worked in the Genocide Fugitives Tracking Unit (GFTU), and was elevated to the position of Intermediate level Prosecutor in 2009. In 2010, he was appointed as an acting Head of GFTU, a position he held until September 2011, when the Cabinet elevated him to the National Prosecutor and pronounced him as the Head of GFTU, a position he has held until now.
